Gnaphalium Pentarkan Ptk 49 is used to treat sciatic pain, especially one causing weakness, numbness and pain in the lower back and legs due to sciatic nerve.

Indications
Traditionally Gnaphalium is used for the treatment of pain conditions associated with sciatica (lumbar sciatica). Even more helpful with back pain having numbness and tingling along the legs and rheumatic complaints. This may be a result of wet and cold, conditions. This remedy has been proven to deliver the best result under all such conditions.
Composition:
Gnaphalium Pentarkan is a combination of five separate natural remedies that complement each other in the treatment of various sciatica pain conditions.
100 g drops of Ptk 49 contain:
Gnaphalium polycephalum 1X 10 g;
Phytolacca 1X 10 g;
Aconitum 3X 10 g;
Dulcamara 2X 10 g;
Rhus toxicodendron 3X 10 g;
Excipients Q.S. to 100 g. Ethanol 55 % (V/V).
Dosage / Uses:
Unless otherwise prescribed, the usual dose is:
For acute complaints, adults and adolescents from the age of 12 should take 5 drops (maximum 6 times daily).
In chronic cases, adults and adolescents 12 years and older should take 5 drops (maximum 1 to 3 times daily).
Once the symptoms improve, immediately reduce the frequency of usage.
You should take the drops half an hour before or after eating diluted with plenty of water.
Note: Contains 55% alcohol by volume
Side Effects:
No side effects of Gnaphalium Pentarkan® Ptk. 49 are known to date. In some cases taking Gnaphalium Pentarkan may cause irritation to sensitive parts of the mouth or nausea, vomiting like situation. In such a case, you should stop taking the medicine and consult your doctor.

Dosage / Directions:
Generally 10-15 drops three times daily, in some water. In acute cases, in the beginning of the treatment, 4-6 times daily. During the treatment the use of salt should be forbidden and only be allowed in small quantities after improvement has set in. In predisposition to goitre and thyreotoxicosis, a treatment of 10-15 drops once a day for about 4-6 weeks is recommended, and should be repeated at intervals of one month. Indications:
Injuries of all types, fracture, luxation, sprain, concussion of brain, wounds caused by fire-arms or sharp weapons, involving bleeding. May be used as a complementary remedy in feverish infections, sepsis, and in general on account of its stimulating effect on the defensive energy of the organism.

– If perspiring occurs in the early part of the night the same dosage will hold. One can wash in cold water to which vinegar will possibly have been added, followed by rubbing with a dilution of Hamamelis extract. Also to be recommended are lime baths and treatment with Sauna.
